Kids & Birthdays Or Nothing At All?

Kids love toys, kids love attention, kids love friends and parties for their birthday, but for some reason ours is different.

Not sure if it’s something we did or that’s just the way she is, but thinking about our little lady over the past few years and the way she spends her birthdays, she’s a kid that would love fanfare if it’s there or would like it quiet if that’s what it comes down to. We now give her a choice of what she would like to be done for her birthdays and when it comes down to it a lot of kids her age want a party and an audience and in some cases get upset and would demand some sort of fanfare, ours don’t.

She is perfectly happy with a few cupcakes a few candles and spend time with her family if that’s all we have (her mom won’t have that, she has to have a cake). This year it so happens that she wanted to travel for her birthday rather than a party, she originally wanted us to take her to the White House to visit it and also the surrounding museums. But faith had other idea, she instead had the opportunity to visit her uncle she hasn’t seen in months and immediately gave up the White House trip to go see him.

That said she was also told that there would be no gifts this year which she was also fine with, all she wanted was a $10 gas station toy called a fidget spinner (if you’re reading this past the year 2020, this one a spinning toy fad of 2017, like a top). Of course we had a different idea and got her stuff that she wanted, and some stuff that she needed.

When it comes down to it, we are happy that we either raised her right of accepting and bless what she has or there’s something really wrong with our child.

Either way, she’s a blast to have and a great kid.
